These shoes are the perfect combination of sturdy and stylish, so you have the choice of dressing them up with fancy accessories or dressing them down with casual clothing.

These babies are priced at $85.00 and you can find them at Gidget or browse on Ebay where they are roughly $40.00-$50.00

Roberto Cavalli at Target

They’ve collaborated with designers in the past (think Stella McCartney) and now Target is joining forces with the luxury Italian designer Roberto Cavalli. Cavalli has designed a collection aimed at those with a fairly low budget (most items are priced under $100.00). The line is a combination of clothing, sandals, heels and bikinis all inspired by this seasons colours and prints.

Zara Summer season 2012

Whats in store at Zara?

This season Zara has come out with a collection based on vibrant colours and intricate patterns. Highlights of this collection include bordeux-hued leather, embeslished mini skirts and the fluro colours. The print-pants are featuring in catwalks everywhere, and Zara’s current collection offers them at an affordable price.

Pastel coloured blazors and jackets are also a great item to purchase for your new summer wardrobe, I’ve got my eye on a light pink tailored blazor sitting in the Zara on Bourke St. There is also a fantastic collection of shoes; pumps, sandals and peep-toe heels are lining the shelves, many designed for those attending the upcoming races. Don’t forget about Zara’s basics collection where you can grab oversized T’s and singlets to wear with those bold and beautiful accessories!

Nana Judy

Chadstone, Melbourne’s, (if not Australia’s), fashion capital – with nearly store you could ever imagine it’s a great place to gauge the latest trends and for men it’s hard to go past the coloured chino. Stores have signs up proclaiming ‘Take off your pants and come try on some chino’s!” They’re everywhere, and why not?

Chinos are the perfect fashion item for men this spring, bright and colourful they’re perfect to match with most shirts, and the looser fitting cotton material makes them a cooler choice as the weather begins to warm up.  Available in a wide range of colours and varying in price across stores there’s a pair out there for everyone.

Globalize stock a huge variety of chinos for roughly $100.

Or if you’re after a mind blowing variety with some cheaper options head to ASOS for literally hundreds of options!

The cropped pant

This year the catwalk has warmly embraced the cropped pant. Throughout winter, cropped chinos and jeans were a fashionista must have and now that the warmer weather is on its way cropped pants are continuing to appear in magazines and shops with colour and patterns.

Just because these pants are in high demand does not mean they have to come at a high price, ASOS currently has a varied range of stylish cropped pants. You can purchase a sexy pair of yellow, high waist-ed pants for only $29.67, bargain! I’ve also spotted a few styles in K-Mart which are priced at $15.00 and have the same colours and similar fit as stores selling them for five times that. These pants are a great way to spruce up an over-sized T-shirt and a pair of pumps!

Nana Judy

Nana Judy has made a huge impact on the Australian fashion world lately. A mens range with class, but an edgy coolness to it also, it has something that every fashion savy young man would love.

Settings trends and satisfying Australia’s fashion savy men Nana Judy has a terrific range of denim, shirts, tops and shorts that can be found at a variety of stores around the country along with online. Although its not a brand for those on a tight budget will love, (a short/singlet combo will set you back about $150), products  are of high quality and they last! Also they’re an Australian brand and it is nice to offer some support to our home grown designers.

This season they’ve really embraced some colour in their designs which is a great addition to any wardrobe, head into stores such as Globalize, Carbon or New Generation and check out this fabuous brand or shop online at their online stores.

Our Nana Judy Picks.

Nana Judy has some great Coloured Chinos in at the moment.  You can check them out here.

Their singlet range is awesome too, great to pair with any pair of pants/shorts. Our favourite is this print design. Pair it with the chinos also pictured.

The Boyfriend Blazer

A Summer Essential

This is an absolute necessity for your Spring/Summer wardrobe! The Boyfriend Blazer is lined with beautiful pin striped satin and is shaped to sit just below the waist. Zara currently has a range of Summer colours including pink, orange yellow and green, costing $69.99. These blazers are a great way to spruce up a colour-less outfit and can be worn with shorts, dresses and pants.

Sixes and Sevens

Sixes and Sevens and is gorgeous vintage shop on the fashionable strip in Fitzroy, Smith Street. The dainty shop is made up of a very clean and neat interior, which can be a nice change for those people who are constantly rummaging through piles of clothes in op-shops!

Whether you are looking for a vintage accessory to add to an outfit or have been searching for that perfect vintage dress for a special occasion, you are likely to find something at Sixes and Sevens.

Something that sets Sixes and Sevens apart from other vintage and second shops, is their dedication to providing the best quality product to their customers. Before stock is put out on to the shelves, it’s measurements are checked to see whether they are displaying the right size, if not, the size label is changed or the piece is altered. This is something that vintage shoppers really appreciate, as it is sometimes very difficult to find something second hand that fits!

The shop provides problems for both men and women, whether that is clothing, accessories or jewellery. Only problem is that there is no online store, so you will have to make it to the store to shop. At least the friendly staff will aid you, so it will be worth it!

Shag

The glamorous Grant Francis and Jeremy Valentine of Shag have become almost iconic in the world of retro and vintage fashion. Loving all things bright and sparkly, you are likely to find something unique and different inside the walls of shag. Also featuring new clothing as well as vintage, Shag will most likely have something for everyone who wants to add a little funk to their wardrobe.

Here are a few of our favourite pieces..

This 50’s Mexican skirt is amazing! Featuring a metallic hand printed design and adjustable side ties; it would suit anyone and can be teamed with a pair of sassy heels, or flats if you want a more casual look.

We are also loving these gorgeous silver snake medusa earrings. Snakes are something that we are seeing a lot of lately in fashion, such as lines by Bvlgari and Anna Dello Russo, so having a pair of beautiful vintage pair of snake earrings will keep you up to date with fashion with a vintage edge.
